Bethany Lee
Born and raised in Minnesota, Bethany is currently based out of Charlottesville, VA. She holds a BA in sculpture (’03) from the University of Dallas, and she is a 2019 graduate from the drawing and painting program at the Florence Academy of Art (Jersey City location). After graduating from the Florence Academy, she pursued studies in sculpture and stone carving through workshops and apprenticeships with various experienced artists including Dario Tazzioli, Andrew Wilson Smith, and Nicholas Fairplay.
She works on commission in lettering , relief carving and sculpture in the round as well as teaches traveling stone carving workshops at various regional art centers.
Bethany is very grateful for the support of her wonderful patrons, friends, family, and students – support without which her studio would not be running!
When not in the studio, Bethany can often be found entertaining her nieces and nephew, reading at a local coffee shop, or wandering around in the woods somewhere in the Blueridge Mountains.
